Uniprint is proud to announce that we have confirmed our position as one of the South Africa’s most empowered printing and packaging companies.

Uniprint, a division of Times Media, has officially obtained a Level Three Contributor status with the revised Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Codes of Good Practice which came into effect on 1 May 2015.

Our clients are now able to claim under the Preferential Procurement element of the scorecard based on the following achievements:

1. A generic level 3 contributor
2. 110% procurement recognition level
3. Empowering supplier
4. More than 51% black owned

HR Director, Aasha Mehta Bobat, addressed the Uniprint team saying, “Thank you all for your assistance, hard work and dedication to transformation – I believe our score speaks to this.”

She confirmed that Times Media was now 58% Black owned and added that Uniprint has always strived to achieve appropriate transformation and empowerment, but that the new B-BBEE codes presented extra challenges. Uniprint, however, willingly undertook these challenges and is focussed on retaining this rating by continuing to work towards the goals of staff, supplier and community empowerment through engagement.
