On Sunday the 15th of May, Uniprint’s 5-a-side soccer team took to the field in a charity soccer match at the Al-Falaah College Indoor Astro to raise awareness for The Sunflower Fund.

The match took place after the Springfield Retail Centre 5-A-Side Soccer Championship final which had been postponed due to heavy rains on Sunday the 8th of May. The final proved to be a riveting spectacle and UKZN Westville emerged as the champions after a series of thrilling goals.

Always ready for a challenge, Uniprint stepped up to the plate to take on the newly crowned champions in what was sure to be a nail-biting encounter. The teams didn’t disappoint and after a stunning display of teamwork and skill, Uniprint was victorious; edging UKZN Westville 3 – 2 as the day’s display of silky soccer skills came to a close.

Uniprint then donated R5000 to The Sunflower Fund to contribute to research in the ongoing battle against Leukaemia and other life threatening blood disorders.
