Cancer is a truly devastating disease that, whether directly or indirectly, affects everyone. In South Africa, 1 in every 8 men will be diagnosed with either testicular or prostate cancer in their lifetime. That’s an alarming statistic, and it’s one which has propelled Uniprint into action as they gear up for Movember 2016.

This year, the Uniprint team are taking the fight to cancer by growing their moustaches (known simply as mo’s during this time of year) to raise funds and awareness around men’s health issues, but they are not doing it alone. The Durban-based printing company has challenged their customers to grow their mo’s too, stating that they will donate R10 to The Movember Foundation for every mo picture a customer posts on the Uniprint Facebook page.

Uniprint are also encouraging their customers to get behind Movember by making donations on the Uniprint Movember page (http://mosista.co/uniprint).

In addition, Uniprint will be running an internal competition to get the team fully behind the campaign. Each department has also been encouraged to grow their mo’s, take a group photo and post it on the Uniprint Facebook page. The department which grows the most impressive set of mo’s with be awarded a fantastic mystery prize.

While it’s easy to get caught up in the novelty of Movember, Uniprint are focused on making a real difference this year. Through their own contribution and with the help of their customers they are committed to raising funds which can be used effectively towards critical research and patient care in the ongoing fight against testicular and prostate cancer.
