Focus on Creative Structural Design

Following attendances at the annual international POP Globalshop conferences over a number of years and based on local market research and growing customer demand, the Uniprint POP operation has established a creative design studio — equipped with cutting-edge technology and manned by creative staff with graphic design, structural design and DTP skills.

Jerrad Rai who heads up the creative studio, explains: “We found that our customers are re-discovering in-store displays as the ultimate image and branding tool for their products, with an emphasis on design and creativity. This has resulted in a growing number of requests coming through from our customers and their agencies to provide "Out-of-the-Box" ideas and solutions. Customers buy innovation so we have put in place the processes to collaborate with customers and other specialists, to brainstorm and share ideas to drive product innovation.

 

 

 

This in turn led us to invest in enhanced design capabilities and capacity and to develop a pool of creative intellectual skills that was was critical for the growth experienced in this area of our business”. A crucial focus area of the studio is developing an intimate knowledge of the retail environment - understanding retail buying habits, trends, promotion effectiveness — and this further drives the process of customer collaboration and product innovation.

Internally, we have introduced an “Innovation Forum” to inform and educate our sales teams, as well as other members of staff, about the latest trends in POS both locally and internationally.

These developments have equipped us to add greater overall value as an innovative partner to our customers in providing comprehensive Marketing At-Retail solutions.”
